Java – Build Error: Jack requires Build Tools 24. 0.0 or later

I’m using the RX library in my android project and for some reason I need to set my build.gradle to:

As the error says, you have changed buildToolsVersion

buildToolsVersion "23.0.3" 

to

buildToolsVersion "24rc3" this.

or

buildToolsVersion = "24.0.0 rc1" this.
