Java – org.json.JSONObject cannot be converted to JSONArray

org.json.JSONObject cannot be converted to JSONArray… here is a solution to the problem.

org.json.JSONObject cannot be converted to JSONArray

I can’t display values as JSON responses

I can’t convert these values and display them in the textView…

My json response is:

{"calculate":{"persons":"148429","cost":25232.93}}

My main Activity java file is:

import android.view.MenuItem;

Solution

Your json is JSONObject and not JSONArray.

{ stands for the JSONObject node

[stands for the JSONArray node

.]

So with this for (int i = 0; i < json.length(); i++) {Wrong

On PostExecute

JSONObject calculate = json.optJSONObject("calculate");
String person = calculate.optString("persons");
String cost = calculate.optString("cost");
