Linux – Unable to test Redis on SuSe

I just installed Redis on our SuSe disto and the installation went smoothly, the tests passed smoothly, etc….

However, I

now try to just do redis-cli ping, however, nothing happens, as does it when I try to run any other command.

A bit stuck as it didn’t show me any bugs or anything….

Has anyone else encountered this issue and learned a little about how I get through it?

couldn’t figure this out, so instead of installing the current stable version, I installed a specific version after a clean uninstall, I installed version 2.6.16. Now all the work is weird….
