The target can be a creature or an object, or a magic force field (such as a wall created by the wall of force).

The target creature must make an agility save. If the save fails, it takes 10d6+40 points of force damage. If the target’s health drops to 0, the target is disengaged.

In addition to magic items, the disintegrated creatures become a pile of dust along with all the belongings they wear. Thereafter the creature can only be resurrected by true resurrection and wish wish.

This spell directly dissociates large or small non-magic objects or magic fields. If the target is a giant or larger object or magic field, this spell disassociates its 10-foot cube. Magic items are not affected by this spell.

Ascending ring cast effect. When casting this spell with a 7th-level or higher spell slot, the spell slot you use is 1 ring higher than the 6th ring, and the damage is increased by 3d6.
