Dream 5e

This spell will shape a creature’s dream. Specify a creature you already know and are on the same plane as you.

Dream

  • Level: 5
  • Casting time: 1 Minute
  • Range: Special
  • Components: V, S, M
  • Duration: 8 hours

Creatures that do not sleep (such as elves) are not affected by the spell. You or a voluntary creature touched by you will enter the state of distraction as a messenger.

In this state, the messenger is aware of the situation around him, but cannot perform actions or move.

If the target is asleep, the messenger can enter his dream and communicate with him during his deep sleep.

Courier can create landscapes, objects and other images in the dream for the duration of the spell.

The messenger can end the distraction state at any time and terminate the spell effect early.

After the target fully wakes up, it can recall the contents of its dream. If the target is awake when you cast a spell, the messenger can understand this.

At this time, the messenger can terminate the spell and spell, or wait for the target to fall asleep before entering his dream.

You can make the messenger appear in a terrible image. But at this time the messenger can only provide no more than ten words of information, and the target must successfully pass a perception save.

When the save fails, the nightmare haunting the strange shadow will affect the target’s sleep, making it impossible to benefit from the rest. And when it wakes up, it takes 3d6 points of psychic damage.

If you have parts of the target body, such as hair, nails or similar. Then the target has a disadvantage when making the save.
