Forcecage 5e

You magically form a fixed cubic invisible prison around a designated location within the cast range. You can choose the form of prison to be cage or sealed body.

Forcecage

  • Level: 7
  • Casting time: 1 Action
  • Range: 100 feet
  • Components: V, S, M
  • Duration: 1 hour

The cage-like prison is a cube with a length of up to 20 feet on each side, and its wall is composed of a 1/2-inch thick force field fence pole, and the distance between each pole is 1/2 inch.

The sealed prison is a cube with a length of up to 10 feet on each side, and its wall is sealed by the force field wall and blocks all materials and spells from entering and exiting the cage.

When casting this spell, all creatures completely within the spell area will be trapped in the cage. Creatures that are partially within the area or larger than the area are pushed away from the center of the area until they completely leave the area.

Creatures in the cage cannot leave by non-magical means. If the creature attempts to use teleport or cross-plane travel to leave the cage, it must make a charm save.

If the save is successful, the creature can use the magic to leave the cage. Those who fail the save will not be able to leave the cage and waste the spell or effect.

The cage extends to the etheric plane at the same time to shield the escape from the etheric plane.

This spell cannot be dispelled by dispel magic.
