The question is linked to my previous question All daemons are running, jps display:

But the wordcount example keeps failing with the following exception:

Since the problem is said to be with the configuration, I posted the config file here. The goal is to create a single-node cluster.

Please tell me what is missing or what I did wrong.

Solution

I’m having a similar issue, but yarn isn’t the problem.
The issue was resolved after adding the following jars to my classpath:

  • hadoop-mapreduce-client-jobclient-2.2.0.2.0.6.0-76
  • hadoop-mapreduce-client-common-2.2.0.2.0.6.0-76
  • hadoop-mapreduce-client-shuffle-2.2.0.2.0.6.0-76
