Mass Suggestion 5e

You magically affect up to twelve creatures you can see within the casting distance, and imply some kind of action hint (up to one or two sentences). The target you specify must be able to hear and understand your words. Creatures that cannot be charmed will also be immune to this effect.

Mass Suggestion

  • Level: 6
  • Casting time: 1 Action
  • Range: 60 feet
  • Components: V, M
  • Duration: 24 hours

Your implied words must make their actions sound reasonable. Asking the creature to stab itself, hit itself against the spear tip, let it sacrifice itself, or let it do any apparently harmful actions will directly cancel the effects of the spell.

Each target must make a perceptual save, and the loser of the save will do whatever he can to do the behavior you described. The actions you imply may continue throughout the spell’s duration. And if the activity you implied can be completed in a shorter time, the spell will terminate as soon as the target completes your request.

You can also describe a specific situation that occurs over a period of time as a condition that triggers special behavior. For example, you can imply that a team of soldiers give all the money to the first beggar they encounter. If the condition is not met before the spell ends, the specified behavior will not be performed.

If you or any of your companions harm a creature affected by the spell, the effect of the spell on the creature ends.

Ascending ring cast effect. When the spell is cast using a 7th-level spell slot, the duration becomes 10 days. When using the 8th-level spell slot to cast the spell, the duration becomes 30 days. When using the 9th-level spell slot to cast the spell, the duration becomes one year and one day.
