If it hits, the target immediately takes 4d4 points of acid damage, and at the end of its next round, it takes 2d4 points of acid damage. If it misses, the acid arrow splashes to the target, causing half of the initial damage, and will not cause damage at the end of the next round.

When you cast this spell with a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the initial damage and subsequent damage of the spell slot you use will increase by 1d4 for each level higher than 2nd level.
