Move Earth 5e

Level: 6th

Classes: Druid, Sorcerer, Wizard

Casting Time: 1 Action

Range: 120 feet

Components: V, S, M

Duration: Concentration, up to 2 hours

The extent of the terrain being altered may not exceed half the length of the longest side of the entire area at the maximum. So if you’re affecting a 40-foot square, you can create a post up to 20 feet high, raise or lower the ground up to 20 feet, dig a trench up to 20 feet deep, and so on. These changes take up to 10 minutes to complete.

For every 10 minutes of concentration you maintain for a spell, you can choose a new area of terrain to affect. Because changes in terrain occur so slowly, creatures in the area aren’t usually trapped or injured by ground movement.

The spell cannot alter natural rock or stone buildings. However, rocks and buildings will still be altered as they adapt to the terrain. If you alter the terrain in a way that would make the building unstable, it could collapse.

In addition, the spell cannot directly affect plant growth. Instead, the removed soil will take away any plants that grow on it.
