I have a question.

I need two files as input to the mapreduce program.

If I run the program with the following command:

Solution

You cannot use the abstract class FileInputFormat directly. If your input is text, you can use org.apache.hadoop.mapreduce.lib.input.TextInputFormat. For example,

MultipleInputs.addInputPath(job1, new Path(args[0]), TextInputFormat.class);
MultipleInputs.addInputPath(job1, new Path(args[1]), TextInputFormat.class);
