You compose a distracting utterance, and designate a creature within the casting distance that you can see and hear your voice as a spell target.

Target creature must make a Wisdom save and successfully pass. Any creature that cannot be charmed directly determines that the save was successful when making the save.

If you or your companion are fighting the creature, it has an advantage when making this save.

When the save fails, the target’s Perception (Perception) check against creatures other than you has a disadvantage until the spell ends or the target cannot hear you. If you are in a state of disability or can no longer speak, the spell ends.
