When the spell ends, the creature realizes that you used magic to manipulate its emotions and turns hostile to you. At this point, the creature will attack you directly if it is violent, while a nonviolent creature will seek other forms of retaliation (as determined by the DM), depending on the specifics of your interaction with it.
